About Us

Gem Research Institute of Switzerland

GIS (Gem Research Institute of Switzerland) is an independent gemological laboratory dedicated to gemstone identification, grading, and scientific research in crystal materials. Serving clients worldwide, GIS provides reliable, transparent, and science-based gemological services.

GIS provides professional testing and certification services for both natural and laboratory-grown gemstones. Every report is based on scientific analysis using modern gemological instruments and internationally recognized testing methods, ensuring accurate, consistent, and transparent results.

Our laboratory specializes in the identification and characterization of diamonds, colored gemstones, jade, and laboratory-grown materials. In addition to routine gem testing, GIS conducts research in crystal growth, spectroscopy, crystallography, trace element analysis, and advanced gemstone characterization.

Our technical team includes experienced gemologists and materials specialists, with members holding internationally recognized professional qualifications such as GIA Graduate Gemologist (GG) and Gem-A Fellow (FGA). Through continuous research, investment in analytical technology, and collaboration across the gem and materials science community, GIS is committed to advancing gemological knowledge and providing trusted laboratory services to clients around the world.

GIS is committed to delivering reliable and impartial gemological reports through scientific analysis, precision, and integrity.
